When I were a lad my dream was to become either a civil engineer or a car designer. Unfortunately being st at drawing and lazy in maths & physics soon put a stop to that little fantasy! Whilst I had an interest in the RAF after attending the Leuchars airshow most years I'm still not sure if it was actually a dream to join up.

So, have you managed yours?

Yep, I get paid to watch telly and sit on my arse all day drinking coffee.

TBH it's not as good as I thought it would be when I was 10...

Unfortunately I never did score the winner in the FA cup final, nor did I ever open the batting for England. I never got to fly Thunderbird 2 nor did I ever receive an answer from any of my letters to Jenny Hanley.

Like my Teachers always said....Must try harder young man

Nope, My only real career goal was to be a diver. That dream was scuppered at 16yrs old when the navy declined to train me so i could go and get rich working for the oil companies and retire at 30 frown

Selfish turds.

I had 2 'dreams'

From young age I wanted to be an accountant - which I tried but changed careers.

From late teens I wanted to visit Australia which I did and had a great time.

I just wanted simple stuff when I was a kid, wanted to be self employed preferably (or "be my own boss" without knowing the ins and outs of self employment at a very young age) , buy a house, and have a motorcycle and a dog and live in peace.

Priorities have since changed, however I have the motorcycles that I enjoy, and although I didn't end up buying a choice, I am renting a really nice place.

Would still like a dog (and landlord would allow it), but its too much hassle right now, and because I am away from the house a lot, unfair on the dog.

Seems a bit of a small dream compared to others on here wanting to be test pilots and astronauts hehe

When I was younger I always wanted to be a dustbin man, sorry refuse collector. I am yet to realise this but judging by the way my degree is going I would happily snap up the opportunity if it arose.

I always wanted to be a vet. Now I'm training to be a doctor. So I'll never achieve that dream...but I'm pretty much still hoping for the husband, kids, country mansion, horses, super cars and helicopter (I'm only 21!).

Work-wise, no

I wanted to be a lorry driver, a musician or a scientist. I tried the science route, it didn't pay well, and I didn't have the stomach for all the studying I still needed to do to get anywhere.
