We've got a 5 day old little girl (currently asleep in the other room)

Very tiring but loving it so far.

Only problem is that it's a lovely sunny day and my VX220 is still on trickle charge in the garage. Hopefully this will be resolved tomorrow!

Not sure whether to persevere with the current 2 car strategy or cash them both in and get something more day to day usable. I'm hoping current levels of attentiveness wont need to be maintained for too much longer so I can sneak off for a trackday or the odd run out biggrin

Kudos

yep, Olivia who is now 19 days old. thankfully she sleeps well and doesn't cry too much. She's currently lying asleep on my chest....

Funny enough, all thoughts of doing "my things" has gone out the window, only one person for me to look after now...

Our MX5 hasn't moved since our little one arrived in October!

Currently in the process of getting it cleaned up to sell.

Betsy was 13 weeks yesterday, the wife has the sensible family car and I have my bike - it still gets used maybe once a week for a good few hours.

We take it in turns having some time off - she goes out with her friends for a night, I take the bike out for a day.

You need some 'you' time

Can you not stick the car seat in the car and go for a blast and give the mum some time off ?? I used to do that with ours, they've never suffered from car or motion sickness

My bike has hardly moved in the last year but I sold the 2 seater car and bought a 4 seater (kind of) so that we could go out together and I could still drive something I enjoy.

Well we had a Z4M Roadster when the Mrs dropped on so that went. Have an RX8 as a daily driver at the moment but it's under review. We'll see how the MRs gets on with the boot space etc!

I have a 14 week old little girl, and felt exactly the same way in the first few weeks, happy to say I feel exactly the same way now too, and hope it never changes.....

My 2/3 rounds of golf a week has been reduced to maybe 2 rounds a month, and I don't miss it one little bit.

Well was a new dad 2 years ago, but "mini me 2" is due in august.
We had a 03 plate MR2 before my son, obviously we needed a car with a backseat so went with the astra (not as fun as mr2 but it does the job).
When number 2 arrives we are looking to change the car but that's for another thread smile thankfully SWMBO really loves TVR's so hopefully one day when they are older ill finally get one!!

I am not exactly a new mum with 3 under 4. Bit of problem given I have an E-Type and not I am not getting a +2 variety. Bored. Want fast classic car with space for 3 childseats.

Yep! Exactly one week and still on perternity leave.
Currently lying on my chest asleep whilst I browse the forum.

I'm on the early shift tonight with the missus mopping up the early morning.

One child you say? You'll need a massive 4x4. May I suggest Sir considers an X5, RR Sport, or ML. You'll find there is absolutely no way you can get away with anything smaller.

Our little girl is 8 weeks old this week. I'm really enjoying being a dad!

Got one of those ISOFIX car seat jobbies, which I would really recommend. Just click in the car seat and you're off - no faffing about with seatbelts and the like.
