Just thought with this streetview update that you can do a little bit of laptop tourism.

So what are those local things that you know of that are enough to raise an eyebrow, that others may have never seen?

I'll start with that farmhouse in the middle of the M62.

And while I'm in that area, I'll drop in Scammonden dam which the motorway passes over. (have a look for the context-sensitive advertising on that photo). Taken from that massive arched bridge over the M62 which always made me wonder "I wonder what its like on top of there". Well now I know. Sort of.

HaHa,little house on the prarie,Scammonden dam hill climb is one I would love to see but they only do a couple a year.

There are posters for the Samaratans attached to posts on the hardshoulder on th eapproaches to the Barton Bridge on the M60. Guess it is sensible really.

bit more ph, you can see the scammonden hill climb course on this one, although you will have to drop streetview man onto where it say's m62, can't get it to link straight to streetview!!
