Just driven back from Birmingham and yet again noticed with all the hedge rows and green died back just how disgusting our roadside verges are. Plastic bags hooked in trees, sh!!te all over the verge by way of food wrappers.

Who are the mouth breathing windscreen licking morons that bin stuff out of a car window whilst going along. P!ss boiler no.1

Just the scale of human detritous seen today would take bl**dy months to clear up.

Human beings - horrid f8cking things some of em' <shakeshead>. Seeing examples like the aforementioned today, well it makes me sad to be associated with the general species some times.

How would you start clearing up after the toe-rags then? Me - I'd bring back chain gangs

This never ceases to amaze me. I just can't get my head around how someone can just throw rubbish on the ground, I even see it on my golf course, plastic bottles shoved into bushes. Like people have actually gone out of their way to put it there, would love to catch someone in the act.

Drove up the A30 across Bodmin yesterday morning, and all the laybys were closed for litter picking. It was a beautiful day, and the fact that somebody appeared to give a toss made it all the nicer.

Shame I don't live down there....

A lot of the litter on the roadside comes from the lorries that transport council tip rubbish to the landfill site.

I regularly see big lorries like this on the A34 in Oxfrodshire making their way to the landfill, whilst losing a good proportion it out the top of the container.

Sides of the A34 don't look much better than the landfill site these days..
