Was just mulling over how my life goals have changed as I have got older.
Back in my teens, they seemed to revolve around material items, such as cars and watches. I never really had a career goal - I've just worked on the premise that if I work hard my career should take care of itself.
Now I am in my 30s, I don't focus on material items as goals so much. I still enjoy buying nice things, but they are no longer the be all and end all.
My goal now is to be happy, and for my friends and family to be happy.
Have any of you experienced such a change in thoughts?

)fifteen years ago my goal on a Friday night was to drink more than my mates.
Now my life goal is to retire in a couple of years, potter along running a little business i have planned that should only take a couple of days of work each week and enjoy life's more gentle pleasures.
However, fast cars keep putting off the retirement.

Finish my VW Derby resto and get rid of the rest of my VW spares.
Get a place on a teacher training course.
Travel again (drove to Mongolia last summer). Maybe Oz for Xmas to see my best friend.
Work my way up in teaching when I get back. Eventual Headteacher or University lecturer is my goal.
Hopefully a house somewhere nice with a big garage once I can afford it.
Have beautiful kids with superb manners. (and good taste in cars would be a bonus)
