Haven't used ebay for a while so they have mailed me to say I have been given a 20% off one item (max £70) code for anything bought using paypal by the 28th of March- perfect opportunity to buy some random toy biggrin

Currently thinking a torch as don't have one. Anything else to consider- whats the latest must have but will get bored of fad? Had the indoor helicopter so thats out. Say top limit of £100 after discount.

HPI savage was the one I wanted in my teens. Or at least I think that is what it was called.

Get a cheap bicycle for your sister. That'll teach her.

Out of price range, seem to be around the £200+ mark for a decent one & seems a very involving hobby judging by all the parts and bits for sale.

I just recieved the same thing and the bugger didn't work properly, make sure the voucher is discounted before you finally commit to buy.

It has to be a uk based seller on co.uk, your ebay & paypal accounts have to be on the same email, the vaild period is quite short and you have to pay through your paypal account.

Mine was all valid and just f'ked up on the last click, have been chasing for the past week and they are promising a refund but not seen it yet.

Saved £20 on some new memory for a laptop that was already dirt cheap so all in a good deal if I see a refund.

Yep this! A toy will get boring really quickly. Money is great! Can buy coke or hookers or both!

Without spending hours dribbling over them and eventually buying one myself...

Kyosho
HPI
Schumacher
Tamiya

Are some good brands.

List something of your own on ebay for £70, buy it off yourself using the voucher, pocket the saving?

Back in my school days the other boys used to say my sister was a cheap bicycle.

Oi! hehe

I'd agree with what illmonkey said - stick to any of those names and you can't go far wrong.

Tamiya parts are easy to find in most model shops. Although I'd probably go for a Kyosho myself - but might be slightly more than 120 notes.

Spotted a tidy looking Tamiya Truck on ebay - second hand but bang on the money:

Without wishing to be too cheeky - has anyone received one of these codes that they have no intention of using? The reason I ask is that I have been offered a decent second chance offer on a set of Alpina wheels for my BMW and saving 20% would be an extra sweetener.

Cheeky I know, but you dont ask, you dont get!

They're issued to your paypal account and they have to match the ebay id etc. Non transferable basically.

... and Traxxas are worth a look too! One of the most expensive (on a per week basis) hobbies I've ever had! hehe
