Desensitisation question...

I was thinking... if you get into enough embarrassing situations, do you become less embarrassed? Could you push the limits of what it'd take for you to become embarrassed? Or would you still get the same flush-faced feeling?
Why are you thinking of getting kinky in public?ShadownINja said:

You can get desensitized to pretty much anything... that doesn't necessarily mean you won't still be very easily embarrassed by some other thing.Somewhatfoolish said:

I think desensitising to embarrassment comes with age.Cock Womble said:

Things that would have made me want the ground to open up and swallow me, even just a year ago, I just no longer care about
Same here.A case in point; when I was with the ex a couple of years ago, she was a bugger for making her frustration known when we were in a shop queue and there were insufficient staff on hand to cope with the ever-growing queue.
"Oh brilliant" she'd say, "the busiest time of day and they've got one person on the till", in a slightly too loud voice. I wanted to run away and totally disassociate myself from her. I gave it the "calm down, darling, it's not their fault".
These days, in the same situation, I am at the "tutting" stage and may progress further.
Perhaps with a flame-thrower.
As I get older the less red faced episodes I have.
However
I'm now sitting in Mcdonalds on my laptop and it's new so just going through my files and navigating around (its a Mac) to get used to it and I clicked on a video, I couldn't get it shut quick enough!

It was a phone video of an ex girlfriend, and for once she wasn't talking!
I was so red, couldn't look around for 10 mins just in case I was being glared at!

Do it again. And again. Now do it again, turn round and see who's looking. And again. Do you feel less embarrassed with each go?

I think he might objectThe reason for this thread is not so bad as the above examples. I mean, I wouldn't be seen dead with a Macbook in McDonalds, ffs.
Sometimes, I'm waiting in a queue in Tesco or at a bus stop (SW London so not some cheery village where everyone knows everybody else) and there's a stranger standing next to me for 10 minutes... I just wonder if I should strike up a conversation or not.
