...for the Lounge. (better than Dr Tre's idea)*
Inevitably with so much traffic through the lounge, threads sometimes go OT or someone posts one of the ever increasing deadly PH memes. What follows is the thread getting clagged with 30 people posting to say someone is a t
t for saying "MX5" (not I suspect, news to them).
What if the OP had the option of making all responses to that thread, vote-able? You see a post you dont like, you click one button and it counts towards a score (good/s
t, 1-10 etc). In the top right corner of your post is a number that updates with the voting.
This way, a poster can see if you agree with him, think it was funny, think it was s
t or if everyone on the thread thinks he's a
, without having to actually clag the thread with posts saying so.
This score counts towards an overall rating. If you search for a PH member, their profile appears and on there is a a number/colour/logo that is the result of all their votes. If everyone thinks youre a t
t who posts mainly s
t, your profile will proudly declare this.
This way, you can instantly tell what the majority of people think of the majority of that person's posts.
It may make people think twice before pressing submit. Which is usually all thats needed. It may also mean I rejoin under a new login to start a-fresh...*cough*
* unconfirmed.

posted in the lounge for the responses of those likley to be affected by it
A well intentioned idea i'm sure, but i foresee a whole new raft of threads and off-topic posts about people complaining / laughing / generally blathering about their post ratings.
I think effective moderating is the answer, PH has enough members and some of them are probably responsible enough to moderate threads in a mature manner. (Maybe)
If the quantity of verbal poo getting posted becomes too much then i think tighter moderation is the answer, with warnings / 'binnings for persistent offenders.

Moderation is subjective and inconsistent, even when done well.I think effective moderating is the answer, PH has enough members and some of them are probably responsible enough to moderate threads in a mature manner. (Maybe)

a bit like the jokes on sickipedia? if it ain't sick enough and gets -5 votes or whatever it disappears from the forum
Nice piggy-backing there killer
If your average goes too low, you lose the ability to post in the lounge.
And yes I was agreeing with you in a roundabout way...

ks-talking t
t, your profile and your posts will effectively be wearing a sign on it saying just that. Without the need for everyone to actually f
k up good threads by typing it out in full.Edited by 308mate on Friday 9th April 16:54
