Worst Job ever?
Discussion
Some people have some pretty awful jobs, especially in other parts of the world.
But whats the worse job you've ever heard of someone doing here in the UK?
Guy I know has one that makes my stomach turn.
His job is to visit commercial premises every day, usually before the working day starts. He has to go to every female toilet, and empty and clean those 'special' bins that women need to use at 'that time' of their month, you know, instead of flushing their used 'toiletries' and thus clogging up the pipes..
I cant think of a job with less going for it.
Can you 'better' that career path?

Where do I sign up?!Joke.
One of my summer jobs as a student involved wearing a latex glove and extracting s
te from sheeps' arses and putting into pots for analysis (all to do with working out what species of grasses sheep prefer).
The worst thing is that latex gloves are actually slightly porous, so that you had to be very careful with your sandwiches at lunchtime - at least 2 of your fingers would be slightly greeny/brown in colour.
Didn't help with some of the older ewes either - couldn't always tell which hole was which until the ewe either backed down onto your hand or tried to pull away.....and you had all those skanking dags hanging down where the s
te had soaked into the wool.
Nice work if you can get it.

There is a foot tunnel in Greenwich that goes under the river
At each end there are large manned lifts
The guys that operate it have a wooden stool, a radio and a paper, the radio doesn't work when you are at ground level
It's the same guy when I arrive at 7:30 am and when I go back at 5:30 pm, now thats got to be a dull dull day

A mate of mine was working for a temp agency, different job every day type thing.
One day he had to work @ a large linen service place, which deals with nearly all the area's hotel's sheets / towels linen etc etc etc.
His job was after the linen had been into the tumble dryer (he said these things were the size of family living rooms) with a paint scraper & a pair of gloves & scrape the melted nappies full of baby s
t off the sides that people had wrapped in hotel sheets / towels, and since they'd not come out in the washing they'd come out in the tumble dryers & melt warm week old baby s
t to the sides of the dryer, he simply used his hands & a paint scraper to get it off.

One of my girlfriend's friends does this. I cant think of a job with less going for it.
He has a rota of so many premises to visit a week. It is up to him how he spends his time. He works like a dervish for 3 days a week and finishes his rounds, then has Thursday and Friday free, every week. He earns around £35k a year for 3 days a week.
The worst thing I've ever had to do was a cleanup job after the septic tank on the caravan park ruptured. The bottom car park was a foot deep in places and we (me and my dad) had a mini digger and a shovel to clean it up. To be honest though you got used to the smell after awhile, it was just some of the "discoveries" I made whilst shovelling that turned my stomach.

we have some special matting in one of the platforms in one of the stations in our area, it sits between the rails, and all the s
t and piss from the toilets on the trains drops onto it when people ignore the "do not use while in station" sign on the train.
then some blokes in white chemical suits ahve to roll it up an lay a new one, after its been festering for 12 months.
grim.
