So i put lawn feed down in the garden yesterday and watered it in. The box says keep away from animals and pets - so should i keep the cat in? Cant stop other cats getting in the garden so is it really that dangerous?

Let them wander round. They'll be smacked off their tits in 10 minutes flat and will thank you forever.

I'd keep your cat in for a couple of days just in case.

Perhaps have a word with your neighbours just to let them know. I put some ant powder down on our front path last summer, and that said keep away from animals and children. I just let the neighbours know what I was doing as they've got young kids and/or cats, just so they could keep an eye out.
