No its fine. You won't look like a nounce atall..But UK culture dictates you will get aggo. If you are going to do it, wouldn't advise built up areas.

If it were a young cat new to the area then possibly acceptable.
I used to walk up to the paper shop on a Sunday morning (to get the ST because wifey like to read it) and our cat would walk with me.
Well 'with me' loosely meant as she would walk/run through every garden as I walked up the footpath.
I would have to keep my eye on her as she got constantly distracted and it was a fair walk of about half a mile and quite brave of her as there were a few dogs and other cats about.

Depends if you value your trousers / legs or not.
Having said that, a housemate used to take her rabbit (giant floppy eared monster imaginatively named thumper
) for a walk on a lead... Maybe I'll start a poll.
I once saw a massive camp looking bloke walking a rabbit on a lead. No-one batted an eyelid. It was in Haarlem though so he was probably fairly normal.Having said that, a housemate used to take her rabbit (giant floppy eared monster imaginatively named thumper
