Discussion
I know they pop up all the time in The Lounge, but here's my story. Met someone at work, get on really well. Chatting one night when out of the blue she says she likes me as more than a friend, and of course the feeling is mutual. However we don't know each other that well, she says she wants to make an effort to sort that out though. I try and sort out days where we can spend time together, but she's a bit busy lately and I'm only going to be able to see her at work, which probably isn't the best place to discuss relationships (to be frank, neither is PH but what the hell, I've spent the last 12 hours on a train due to the f
king Icelandic volcano, and most of that time's been spent getting drunk).
Flame/advice away!
And I know its inevitable that someone will suggest taking her to the Oxo Tower and smashing her back doors in on the back seat of a 335D(mapped), so once the silliness is out of the way, let the sensible advice begin. Ta

Try and see her outside of work a few times. If you both enjoy your time together after seeing each other a few times, ask her what she wants from the relationship. Don't try to pin her down too much, it will be obvious what she wants by this stage.
Act depending on the answer. When she says she doesn't want anything from it and you can't live with the shame of being rejected by someone that is so immediately close to you, leave. I mean, imagine having to see her every day, knowing that you weren't good enough for her. Food for thought. Go get her fella!

Working for the same company needn't be a big problem, it depends how big the company is, and how close you work to her.
If you sit next to her in an office, and spend all day working with her, think long ang hard about it. If you're a mechanic and she works in the offices, so you only see her on lunch breaks, it's not such a big deal.
Although it's wrong to go into any new relationship wondering what will happen if it doesn't work out, when your job is concerned, it is a very valid consideration.

If you work in a large company where your more or less the whole employment opportunity and the village/town is there because of you, you have no choice.
Completely depends on your own situation, I am aware of whole families being created by and working for one company.
Creates some interesting misconduct opportunities I can tell you.
