Do you know of any poor children burdened with either film characters, or actors names.

To start us off, I knew someone who called his kid Anakin

I knew someone years ago who had changed the spelling of his name to match a film star specifically so that people would remember him.

Mind you, it's the only reason I do remember him, and he is now reasonably famous and very rich.

I suppose its the thought, of some poor kid being sadlled with the name of an TV star they will never really know, much less appreciate spending their lives sharing a name with.

Over recent years the Kylie/Jason phenomenon springs to mind, although as I say, Star Wars has overtaken the Neighbours cast I think, I'm just waiting to hear of the first product based childs name,
possibly....

Cuchelle

as itr sounds 'exzotikk'

Not as embarassing as if he had been christened with John Wayne's real name.

Used to work with a girl who called her son Luke, as in Luke Skywalker, and was quite open about how she picked the name.

Went to school with a Michael Jackon, average white boy, no idea if he was named after the famous/infamous musician/kiddy fiddler.

A friend changed his surname to Lee, after Bruce Lee, then changed it back again a couple of months later as it proved troublesome to get it done officially on birth certificates (or something like that).

My brother in law's ex was a Star Wars fanatic, voted Jedi etc etc. Against my b-i-l's wishes, my nephews now have 'solo' and 'skywalker' as their middle names.
