OK some people go to far, others just seem not to have a sense of humor anymore blah

Everyone's different but when you try and post something light hearted, Do you think it may get taken the wrong way?

It's the joys of anonymous faceless internet posting, you'll always get 40 people who disagree with you, 30 who will pick you up on an irrelevant point, 20 who speak to you in a way they wouldn't do to your face and 10 pick you up on your spelling.

i think its just like when you text someone. The receiver cant determine the tone of your voice to tell weather its light hearted or not etc. Some people just have a very dry sence of humour that the receiver doesnt and takes offence. I've learned through experiance posting on here that dont take anything to heart, these people dont know you personally, and some want a reaction from you sometimes too much! Thats the glory of the internet...you can switch the person off hehe

Are these figures based on your own experiences, or are these findings from a study?

Sources?
