Mods, please leave in Lounge just for a bit!! as business takes ages for any type of response!!

Can anyone tell me why a company would feel the need to change their company name 5 times in four years...?

Also the name changes have been "pedantic" in some cases, eg ***** Lodge Health Care Limited to ***** Lodge Healthcare Limited..

some kind of dodge? if so what?

Are they trying to get around their poor rating by putting 5 stars in the name? I'd not fool for that.

sorry for my ignorance but does prepack allow you to maintain the same company, thought you had to create new one?

Stars used to be discrete! but your argument might hold true!

Quite possible that they have gone into liquidation and started again.
Not uncommon.
Fill out the missing letters and ILl tell you whether that is the case.
As its a limited company its all public information so there is nothing wrong with naming htem

If it was a liquidation and they just bought the assets back of the liquidator they would need a new company formation so it would have a different company number.

Changing the name of an existing company wont make any difference to its assets, debtors or creditors.

SUre- but Im guessing the OP doesn't know whether or not they have the same company number-hence if he gives the name thats something to check

Apologies if not clear....same company Number, just various name changes ( 5) throughout the last 4 years, with some of them really pedantic ie Lodge Health (space) Care Limited to Lodge Healthcare ( no spacing) Limited

If it's the same company number then it's the same legal entity. The name doesn't actually mean a huge amount from a legal point of view.

COuld it be simply that they realised "Health Care" with a space was actually incorrect and the phrase should not have a space?
DOesn't explain the others mind you.

Hmmm. Just briefly googled this. Ive never heard the phrase.
How does it differ from normal administration/liquidation. I can't really work it out from what I just read.
