Not getting much love in the Heath forum (very quiet in there)... anyway:

Just reserved this at my local argos:

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4...

Just wondered if they were any good? any experience?

I get quite bad back pain during the night and very tense / aching muscles come the morning. Missus gave me a quick massage over the weekend (oohh -errr) and it relieved the area alot, so to speak.

Has anyone used one of these or have any experience.

Thanks

I always have a sit on the one in house of Fraser whilst the GF is looking about in there. My lower back is always grateful for the 10 minute rub down mid trawl around the shops

Yep - my housemate has that exact one. It is 'nice' and can be very firm (makes you wince if you sit too far back into it). I don't think it's worth the money though, and you'll get bored of it after 20 mins or so. I'd spend the money on buying your wife some new shoes/flowers/her favourite thing and reaping the benefits forever more smile

Mrs Monkey is a qualified masseuse and never goes anywhere near me...!

Buy the machine man, its far less hassle! :-)

Thanks all.

To be honest i wouldnt have gone for it if it was any more cash. £45 seems about the most i'll pay for something like this, i guess if its crappy i can take it back.

Well quick update... i'm currently sat on it now (Local argos only a few minutes drive away).

And its giving me a pounding! Really is quite a strange sensation, i'm about 2 minutes into a 15 minute full body massage, and I must say so far im impressed! Its giving me great relief already and is a lot more patient than the missus!

Ironic thing is that it really is quite heavy in the box with all the packaging, thus potentially hurting my back further!

Oh well... zzzzzzzzzzz

Is it better than the cushion?

although it was originally 2x the price of the cushin, the cushion looks a lot more versatile and easier to (manually) move around to problem areas

To be honest i dont know as I havent tried the cushion, it may well be better. I am having problems in a couple of areas of my back (lower and middle) so its good to get it going over a bigger area and not having to adjust / move it.

For the price I think its pretty good. Its not going to solve my long term problems, but is great to relieve the pain and untie some of the knots in the back muscles.

Coincidentally, this morning I have bought a Homedics QRM-409H swedish massage chair, after trying one in John Lewis on Saturday morning.

Wasn't expecting it to be any great shakes and only really sat on the demo chair as I was waiting on the kids doing the tour of the Toys department but was very surprised with the 'strength' of the massage.

Driving min. 3 hours today and then sitting at a desk all day has given me: a) a fat gut; and b) an occasional sore back so I was really attracted to the idea of the massage chair but not convinced to spend the £149 that JL wanted. However, a quick Google this morning revealed the same chair on Ebay for <£90 so job's a good 'un.

I have just bought a cushion .LOL
Only £36 delivered from a store on Amazon.

I go to a massage person quite often for shoulder pain and this costs the same as 1 session so worth a shot.

Exactly my thoughts as well. It cant be bad for the price and worth a shot even if its just for a bit of temporary aid.

Update:

15 minutes full back, then 15 minutes lower back followed by half an hour rest. Feel very good and back is pain free for the first time in a while. Wonder how long that will last!

This is just a thread about a vibrator, isn't it?
