I haven't even got a telly but it sounds "northern old fashioned"

Go your own way, but I wish I'd been called something like Dave

Monkey Dust

Think about their future at school etc. Girls don't become popular when they're labelled chicken foetuses (or whatever eggs are)

How many people know your middle name? I can only think of about 10 people who might know mine.

and i can think of much worse things to be called in school than egg.

I doubt that she will be called Elizabeth by her mates, and very few people will know her middle name. As such;

Lizzy Greenwood
Liz Greenwood
Beth Greenwood
Ellie Greenwood

all sound good to me!

We spent months agonizing over names for our two kids, and a few months in you rarely give it a second thought.

Just don't send her to public school, where initials are used for many things.

What's wrong with a traditional name? It's better than Chardonnay-Anne or whatever some kids are unfortunate enough to be called nowadays.

Err, my name is Grace Elizabeth and I'm quite happy with it. I prefer it to the faddy likes of 'Courtney', at least it has some class and staying power.

There is nothing wrong with this choice, though I'd prefer Grace as a first name. Older fashioned names are a popular choice. I would however be cautious due to the initisls.

We've just been through this but with boys names, we had a decent selection of girls but no real decision on boys! We went for Oscar Lloyd W in thr end. Oscar was random but we both liked as different but not too 'out there' the middle name is a family name and the initials do not spell anything tease woethry...I hope!
