I'm a big fan of the GK36C, light, easy to reload and packs a punch.

Marty - do you mean the H&K G36C? It's a cut down assault rifle.

The "most advanced" submachine gun is a hard one to pin down. Probably the H&K MP7 or the FN P90 if you are going for one in widespread, real world use.

I'm basing my opinions on my extensive wartime research in various conflict zones across the world.

This is in Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare.

Even in call of duty a G36C and if they had one a G36K is still an assault rifle, H&K do the MP5, MP7 and UMP

For me Steyr TMP, then the Škorpion vz. 61 followed by the Chinese Type-05, all though saying that the coolest probably the Sten gun

After thinking, for most advanced I would go with the P90

Reasons
- ammunition (5.7x28mm - same as used by my FN Five-seveN)
- capacity (50 round per mag)
- controllable in full auto
- ambidextrous
- concealable

What a horrible thing.

Sometime "ugly" works. Case in point is every Glock ever made.

I still don't get it. What particularly stands that model out as 'advanced'

Shot rate? Accuracy?
Unique feeding system. ROF is 900/min. The ammunition (military spec) is capable of defeating level III armour. Has more rounds per mag than just about any other SMG. Light (good for spec ops and rear echelon types) simple to maintain (see below)

What does the sub in sub machine gun mean? How is a sub machine gun different from a machine gun? - is it size?

Also a gun has to look cool. I like the ones the A-Team used to use. What were they? I know Col Decker and his MP crones had M16s and Hanibal occasionally used an M60.

I think the A team used hard cromed Ruger mini 14s'

which i think were basically based on the M14 but using 5.56

could be wrong
