Btw, I just want to send him a couple of lines in Danish, I wasn't looking for free translation services! I know there are websites for this but I worry that they are inaccurate.

You do realise as this is PH that you'll want to say "I had a good time seeing you again, it was nice to catch up" and you'll get the Danish for "Next time we meet, I want to do the dirty in your bum bum"

Good luck though thumbup

Hope that helps.

Like all scandinavian languages, you can get away with speaking on monosymbols and saying "fur shure" a lot. A lot of foreigners start Ok, but end up sounding Dutch which you should avoid.

Not danish but i remember when i was writing to an events organiser in Russia and the translator (who i later found out was st at their job) managed to put:

Я возмущаюсь по лицу (I am disgusted by your face)

instead of "I thank you for your time"

Needless to say i had to grovel heavily upon arrival in Moscow.

Blame Google. I'm intrigued to know what it actually means, however?

It says, in a roundabout and lit trans fashion, "The next time we meet, I want to do the dirty in your bum".

Danish bacon is total absolute sh*te! It's cured by dunking it in a vat then full of pumped full of added water and chemical "flavour". The pigs are kept in small cages and made to smoke too.

Anyone who eats it and thinks it's any good is a .

Sorry for being late back to this thread. SGirl is right. Noone who's actually Danish would ever say it like this (especially as "bums" means "spot", as in acne) but it sounds cool in a rude Yoda-speak kind of way, if that makes any sense. Probably doesn't, actually biggrin

A big thanks to nonplussed for his help. No response yet which could mean that my Danish friend has been entirely spooked by my response, or simply that he's away from his email. Cheers again
