^ Is what I've just read on NZ teletext.

Australia is the most popular destination, with NZ coming in fourth.(Doesn't mention where 2nd or 3rd destinations are)

Cliff notes:

Poor state of British economy.
Lack of job prospects.
Election outcome.

...

On the other hand, there's probably plane loads of people considering moving to the UK from down (NZ/Aus)here too.

Bullst.

3/4 of Brits have difficulty breathing without instructions, let alone wondering about the path their life is taking.

Next thread please.

Yeah, and 90% of blokes have thought about shagging Kylie, owning an Ariel Atom and scoring the winning goal in the dying seconds of a world cup final.

Too many 'place in the sun' 'relocation, relocation, relocation' dreaming wannabes?

Yeah. I certainly wasn't asked and neither was my wife, so that's two people you can remove from the list. I suspect if we give it a while quite a few more people will say that they've not been asked. Give it long enough and we may even prove that it's just a bit of marketing by the NZ/Oz tourist board/government.

Im thinking it must be drivel, surely the real figure cant be that low!

Frankly I think about it more often than sex. Sex involving Rachel Weisz, Jessica Alba and Eliza Dhushku. And beer. And pizza. And champers.

Well just a lot really.

I dunno, but i'll do a survey when i'm out in Clapham on Saturday.
I suspect the reason is because there is loads of work, that the idle section of our populus are too incapacited (through benefits) to do.

Crikey, I must be one of the vast majority then!

All cleared with HR and management if I want to emigrate to the US. Would have to pick up the costs myself, but they will fully sponsor the deal and therefore not a problem. Not quite yet though. I need to stay in the UK for another year or so - but after that, sunny climate of California here I come....
