Hello all, i'm organising a stag do for my BiL who is getting married at the end of the summer and I need some ideas for activites. I'm not looking for anything too fancy or too expensive, it needs to be in this country and somewhere we can go into town for beers and strippers afterwards.

15 blokes, all with driving licences, so far, i'm thinking karting or paintballing or both but are there any alternatives to karting, like off road buggy driving or something similiar.

Other ideas welcome.

One of the digger/JCB-driving days?

I think we need a 'man world' somewhere, where you can combine paintballing and karting! thumbup

Went clay pigeon shooting on my stag earlier this year, everyone really enjoyed it, chance for banter, quite relaxing and at the same time a competitive element.

i'm going to a stag do soon and we're going to a place called 'go ape'.
its a huge treetop assault course that apparently takes a couple of hours to complete.
i'm not sure if they are in any other areas but they're on the net.
its about 35-40 quid a head.

A mate did a thing with two RIBs in between the mainland and the Isle Of Wight.

A great great great laugh.

Was about £150 per head so not outrageous.

150 sovs for a couple of hours on a rib?! You and I have different perceptions of value!

Not sure where you are,

But me and 4 others did and afternoons 4x4 and quad biking with these guys, for my younger brothers stag weekend.

I can’t recommended them high enough, and Iam sure they could make a whole day of it for all of you, and then when into Newcastle for a stupidly hot curry (that you get free if you can eat it all biggrin)

Not sure about strip clubs as it was Newcastle, and well, the quality of ladies up that far north is open to interpretation tongue out

It wasn't a couple of hours, it was all day with Breakfast and Lunch thrown in.

Each boat did £300s worth of fuel!

Ah, oh. I stand corrected wink

What did you get up to? Apart from going over to Newtown Creek and chilling out on the boat, or perhaps heading into Cowes for a few shandies, is there actually much to do in the Solent?

We had lunch in Cowes and spent most of the rest of the day going fast, getting airborne and being covered in a thin sheen of salt.

Canyonning or CoastSteering are both good for groups of guys.

Both can push folk to their limits and it is often something no-one in the group has much experience of.

Is the fuel in the price or is it on top of the hire? You wouldn't have a link to the company you used would you?

Thanks for the suggestions folks, keep them coming, the more I have the better. Oh, and i'm not too bothered about the quality of lap dancing club TBH, if they're got a fatty or three to smother him it could be a great laugh for the rest of us

Did quad bikes in Newcastle. Was quite a good course - they also offered paintballing at the same location. Some good water asepcts to the quadding that was very enjoyable.

Paintballing and Go karting in Nottingham - was quite good. Go kart was good - paintball less so.

Paintballing in Latvia - oh you said the UK..... But it was very very good.

Leeds Festival.... in erm Leeds.

Have just organised a stag - deep sea fishing off Lanzarote for 10 - three days villa and flights for under £250/head. Why stay in the UK?

Did I mention the sunshine too cool

It was my Stag night 2 Saturdays ago.

We went here:

www.walker-adams.co.uk

And did off-road karting. Based in Saltley.

They've basically made a 1km long rally stage and the owner has designed and made these 900cc buggies.

They take groups of up to 20.

I've done rally days, indoor go-karting and outdoor go-karting in my time and I swear this beat them all hands down.

It's a gravel circuit and the buggies have little traction so it's oversteer action all the way. But they're so easy to control that after half a lap you think you're Sebastian Loeb and after several laps you're hunting for Malcolm Wilson's phone number to offer your services biggrin

Awesome fun and really good value at just over 50 notes each. Nice bunch of guys who run it too.

Its in the price.

There were about 14-16 of us.

Stag goes at the front of the boat, holding onto the rope.

I'll see if I can get the name of the company for you.
