I just got an email from UCAS to say that my choices had been changed/updated.. The University of Liverpool have changed my Conditional (was my firm choice on UCAS) to Unsuccessful, out of nowhere! My Insurance, has now become my firm choice. The requirements for the course are BCC, and at the minute I have CCC. I'm only 5 marks off the B in Maths though, and with exams coming up over the next few weeks.. I should be able to get the required BCC.

But whether they thought that I wasn't doing any exams.. and the CCC was my final grades, I don't know? I've sent them an email, as their offices close at 5pm and i'm hoping that i'll get a reply or a call tomorrow morning.

Is it likely to be some sort of a mistake on their part? Or would there be any other reasons for a chance in the application.. Once they've put me as Unsuccessful, is it possible for them to come back and re-offer me the place..

Any ideas? I'm not feeling great at the minute!

Bro, when I applied to Leeds they were prize s over it even when I had exceeded the course grade requirements (BCC and I got ABB). Don't wait for them to ring you, as soon as they open tomorrow morning get on the blower and bend thier ear about it. Or tell them to fk themselves and go to Nottingham instead like I did.

Call them in the morning.

They can change your offer at any point for pretty much any reason.

+1. Do it before clearing, or you will be on hold for a longgggggg time.

Are you at the UOL?

The way it is at the minute, if I get the grades for my insurance (which I do have now), then I wouldn't be able to go to clearing. I think anyway..

You lucky bd! Say nothing. Do nothing. Otherwise you're going to have to spend 3 years in Liverpool.

I was 30 UCAS points short for my degree course, accepted a foundation course but made the passing comment that if there was any space on the course i wanted, I would really rather do that. I got the course i wanted.

I'm a borderline spastic and they let me in.

Not to Liverpool granted, but the point stands.

I can vouch for that...

I got in through clearing after Birmingham and scouse land changed their minds for no reason, went to Leeds to studied geek language and look where I am now?

Agreeing with a spastic I know... Some days I just dont want to wake up in the morning...

I never actually said if it was the borderline spastic or just the spastic part.... Im still deciding after watching him work out the rules of nomination and it taking quite a long time.

Unis this year are seriously over subscribed... they have been moving the goalposts (required grades) almost monthly to try and whittle down the thousands of oversubscribed places..

It does sound a little odd that you accepted an offer and they then changed their mind....

I would deffinately give them a call!!

I got a prospectus from the University of Liverpool at the start of the year, I had been sent one of the newest prints.. I rang the university to ask about a course, and they had told me the grades had all went up.

I rang UOL first thing this morning.. It turns out they were sent my results from January (which got me up from CCD to CCC, but not quite BCC) and based on that they had cancelled my offer. But I told them the position I was in, they went away.. and a few hours later I got an email from UCAS to say my offer was back again.
