What on earth (or off it wink) could be causing this strange light above a house near me?

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ll=53.444583,-2.1719...

It there on Google maps, Google earth and can even be seen on street view. It seems far too bright to just be a reflection scratchchin

Well it's either George Clooney doing sparkly eyes at the satellite or proof indeed that the sun shines out of my boyfriends arse as he claims.

That was my first thought but if you look at all the others around it they are no where near as bright. From space the 20 feet or so to the next conservatory wouldn't make any difference to the reflection of the sun back to a fixed point in space.

The photographs are taken using helicopters/planes at that resolution, not satellites, they do the bigger stuff.

On street view the glare is the Sun itself, the satellite image is a reflection.

Nah not buying it. The location of the glare just above and slightly behind the house matches the aerial pic too well. scratchchin

It's a teenager wearing a hoodie trying to bring the plane down with a mirror - if you look carefully you can see him lounging on the sofa with a half empty bottle of White Lightning and a spliff.
