Stood next to a man with a machete today
Discussion
I couldn't believe it. I was queueing up this afternoon in the local shop, and stood next to me was this guy, bold as brass, with a machete holstered in his belt! I couldn't believe it!
I live in Jamaica by the way, and he was the local coconut trader, but still, I don't want to see a machete when I'm queueing up to pay for my Lilt!

It's interesting to see the variety of posts on this.
Maybe I'm old fashioned but I don't expect to see a machete every day.
Nor do I want to.
I can remember when there used to be a lot of debate about arming the coconut vendors.
Maybe they've become equiped via the back door (never a safe term on PH) so to speak.
Suppose everyone is happy with CCTV all over the place as well?
