Now I know there are some poor, insecure souls who feel the need to be part of the 'in' crowd. I remember seeing them at school many years ago trailling on the heels of the cool kids parroting their jokes and guffawing when they felt they ought to. Repeating the in gags, excluding the new kids and those not in the know. It's a bit sad though to continue such behaviour beyond the age fifteen don't you think?

The latest fad, "This ^^^" contributes nothing but of course drives up the post count, ingratiates the poster with the other cool PHers and (I suppose) gives a smug warm, fuzzy feeling. Anyone care to wager what the next must-have saying is going to be?

You want to reply with 'This^^^', don't you? You know you do.

Well, it's just the lazy version of "Well, I absolutely agree with the previous poster as he has made some salient and interesting points." and slightly longer than "+1".

There are so many lazy variations of this entering the language. I note the use of "even". "Even" is usually used to highlight superlative positions but requires some sort of justification/argument to make the sentence truly valid. Laziness... I mean, to use "even" correctly, it should be "It doesn't even <statement> because <justification>" but now it's become "It doesn't even <statement>" and ended there as if the person stating this thinks <statement> is so correct it doesn't need reasoning and if you don't get it, then you're clearly stupid. Another one is replying simply with "No" which makes me think the poster lacks intellect and is behaving like a child.

Personally, I like to use "Wot 'e sed." Not sure why. I'm not cockney and have had a decent education. I mean... I've never used the term "Guv'nor" unless referring to Mervyn King.

How about a rehash of the '90s in the form of 'psyche!'
