Does anyone know much about it?

How do you apply it to metal?
Can you apply it to other materials?
How hard is it?
How does it wear?
What is the min/max temperature it can be used?
What is the min/max thickness it can be applied?
Can it be manufactured in different colours?

Teflon is a brand name of DuPont. It's really PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene).

I think it's baked on. The reason it's non-slip isn't because of how smooth it is, but because of how strong it is. That's as much as I know - mainly because that's as much as I can remember of what my Dad told me when I was younger!

It is a material... can come in loads of different forms... be it woven into cloth, extruded into bars... or mixed into lubricants....

So to answer your question... depends what exactly you want to use it for...

Basically I wan't to know if it can be painted onto surfaces.

But the other info could be important, though for a few different ideas I have so can't be specific.

A lot of the people I have worked with in the past have shoulders hewn from solid blocks of the stuff. Amazingly low friction yet still not able to stop a chip sliding off its surface.

yes then thought about several other applications which it could be used in, which it definitely isn't, so long as the properties are correct.

The Gecko was in a whole world of what the fk is going on here then?

Aye! hehe

A good demo of PTFEs properties, I thought.
