Diamond earrings

Hi, I couldn't see a jewelry section so trying this in the lounge.

Looking for a few pointers on buying solitaire diamond earrings set in white gold (platinum or silver would do).

I've not much of a budget to work with, £300 ish.

Any general info on what gem size I should be looking at (quality dependant, I suppose)

Sorry I can't make it to any specialists in that there London or thereabouts as I'm in N. Ireland so pointers for general jewellers only.

At £300 you're probably looking at 18ct white/yellow with 1/4ct diamond. But really is quality dependant. Depends who you go to too.
