What would you, or do you, do which inspires you?

I'm thinking in terms of something that puts a smile on your face and gives you a general feeling of well-being.

I'm sure that for some people their job will be something that they thoroughly enjoy and gives them satisfaction. For others it may be a hobby or pastime.

Thoughts?

The lass on the tube yesterday with a simply breathtaking set of milkers.

Inspiring in a different way.

4th gear 5500rpm-8600rpm (about 65-105 leptons) through the roundwall tunnels near my house. It never fails. Never.

God I'm glad its not just me (and my Dad, for that matter).

There is a direct correlation between the 'ruggedness' of the terrain surrounding me, and my mental state.

Every few months, I have to excape on my own and walk up a girt big hill on my own, in the Lakes or something.

I can sit at the top, eat my pack up, breathe in the air, and my problems literally melt away.

If you had to advise someone on a 'quick fix' to achieve some inspiration on a daily basis without making a huge life changing move, what would you suggest?

(Assume that they are married with kids BTW!)

Liking the mountains idea. I grew up around dramatic countryside, and then moved to Surrey. There's nothing dramatic about the little bumps you get around these parts. I also really miss a 'proper' river, that has big frikkin' boulders in it and actually does something other than creep about the place.

I think I should clarify, that I don't just mean inspiration, but also motivation.

What would you advise someone to do to get out of a rut in life?

Goals - short, medium and long term, ambitious, measurable, achievable.

Finishing a good lifting session with enough cardio that I can't walk afterwards (be it cycling or running) - the exhaustion is a wonderful feeling, and makes me feel like I'm capable of anything if I try, albeit not at that moment.
