Where do people buy quality clothing these days, is it possible to buy good quality clothes without the designer label?

I am quite a boring person when it comes to fashion, just shirt and trousers do me fine, but finding reasonably priced clothes seems to be a nightmare.

Find a decent tailor. Someone whose shop looks like a bomb has hit it, and it hasn't seen a lick of paint for at least three decades. If it still has blackout paint on the windows, even better.

The proprietor should be somewhat over 80, but amazingly spry.

This man will supply anything you need, to the highest reasonable quality, for a pittance. He won't recommend anything that isn't necessary or worthwhile. He won't give a toss about the latest fashions, and so will do exactly what you want, a simple, normal pair of trousers (or a shirt, jacket, whatever), made well, fitted perfectly, comfortable, and durable.

Next time I go see mine, I'll take a picture and post it up for reference.

its hard to find good quality clothes that fit well, look a bit more modern and don't have brand names on.

reiss do ok.

otherwise it's go round the brand name places and try to pick out the stuff without labels on.
