The ones that really get my goat are the "50" limit signs through roadworks when you're crawling past at 2mph. I feel like jumping out of the car and scrawling "we should be so goddamned lucky!" underneath.

The second sign is obviously outside of a toilet. There is nothing wrong with it...

Yes there is. The comma is superfluous and it should read 'may be', not 'maybe'. nerd

I saw a signed "New road layout ahead". Now, I understand the reason, but when does a new road layout become well-established and no longer new?

I've always wondered about those signs. Who are they intended to inform, exactly? If you're local to the new layout, then you'll already know it's new (because you've probably been delayed by the preceeding roadworks) and you know it's different to the old layout.

But if you're new to the area and have never driven through there before, surely every bit of road is a "new road layout"?

Yours,

Confused of Northampton.
