Hi.

About a month ago I went to get my first tattoo!!! I made sure I liked it very much so and made sure i was happy with a design for 6 months before booking to get it done. The pain was very little and I have to say, I rather enjoyed the tinglyness it gave me. But a month down the line is where the problem has started!!! I look at it now and it looks lonely! I immediately want more and really cant think of any other designs I want, and with something which is there forever I will make sure I'll like it there forever!!!

I don't actually know if its the sensation of getting it done, the ability to have my body modified, or just the loneliness of the first one which has gotten me craving for more! From when the needle first touches your skin to the very last touch is sensational. I'm not sure if its adrenaline I'm feeling and if I should jump out a plane to get the adrenaline fill, but reading through the previous Tattoo and addiction thread I think this falls in between somehow!

Anyone else have had piercings or Tattoo's and have craved them ever since? My boss from my old work has many piercings as he's addicted. My brother just got another tattoo on Saturday because he's addicted (and possibly because i just got my first one and made him want another).

A mate of mine did exactly the same thing, had one done.

Now has about 12 and looks ridiculous IMO.

I'm hoping they are because I want a few but haven't got the balls to sit there & spend a couple of hours in the chair for my 1st so I'm aiming to get a small 1 initially with a view to getting what I really want in the future. I don't know 1 person with 1 tattoo, everyone has had more done

Trust me, in the hands of a very capable artist it wouldn't be very painful. I was the same, I was very nervous on my first time, but once they talk you through it, and get started its not bad. If it is do you think people will really have more than 1? I'm no hero and I'm not a macho man, but I've managed. Just please make sure you fully like the design before you get it done as it is life changing so to speak. Ask around and see where near you has the best reviews. I was recommended 2 in my local area, and both are usually very busy, so I'm guessing they're probably the ones to go to.

Yep i know how you feel!
I had a "mistake" tattoo covered up which i'd gotten done when drunk.
Since having that done about spring time last year i now have my ribs done, 2 big pieces on left & right arms (top), my wrist & half my forearm & my calf done.
However, as the missus is pregnant i can't afford anymore.

I know exactly what I want once I've got the balls to get the bigger ones done, strangely my main problem is deciding where to get the initial 1 done
