One of our cats is 4 years old, since a kitten he has suffered from cat flu (meaning blocked noise and gingervitus). On Saturday he was really not very well and spent the whole day shivering from a feaver and sleeping.

However for the past 2 days he seems to have perked up and is chatting constantly and I do mean all the time in fact he only shuts up when your not in the room. He seem to be happy (tail in the air) and very playful so dont think he is in pain.

Just feel a little concered as we havent heard much more than a peep out of him for 4 years. Maybe he is just making up for lost time?

He's an orangey colour? biggrin

If he's fit and well I wouldn't worry.

If he's been fluey/snotty most of his life is it possible something's suddenly cleared?

Failing that, any catnip growing nearby?

For now as long as he is eating, drinking (but not in excess) breathing easily and not noisily, lively, normal toileting and basically normal self otherwise don't worry but if it gets worse or doesn't settle get him checked over.

Cat's don't usually change charcter overnight unless there is a reason, what that reason could be, no idea at this stage!

N.B. gingivitis - you were pretty close smile
