Came in last night to find the little bugger had curled one down. There it was - daisy-fresh. Any ideas why he might have done this? He's quite old.

Really? But the house had been empty for five hours... or maybe that stresses him out?!

Our two will on occasion lay a cat egg in some part of the house - usually when we have neglected the litter trays a bit. To be fair to them, the carpet on the stairs was a much more pleasant place to take a dump than an overflowing covered litter tray!

Bit more info required? Just wondering as we had a few elderly and they were OK. Except one that had bowel issues so we put a tray down for her. Does the puss get around OK? That is get out before the turtles head decides the issue?

Problem is they will start to associate that bit of carpet with a loo if you let your guard down. One of ours started and we could not stop her until we cut that section of carpet out and threw it away. Carpet was knackered anyway.

Does your cat have access to litter tray, if not may just not been able to hold until let out, if yes or has access to outside, the age may be significant, one of the signs of senility or poorer health can be inappropriate toileting.

Is this any use found here?

Years ago my cat started crapping in the bedroom at the top of the house and it was because another cat was coming in the house and upsetting her.
