I was at a wedding on Saturday and during the ceremony a lass in front of me decided it was time for little dumpling to have a feed, so she decides to attach him to her right nipple. I was stood directly behind her and got a full view.

Now, I'm torn here. Yes its a natural thing and I cant really say why I thought it slightly inappropriate....I just thought she should have maybe gone somewhere private?

Its only inappropriate if she's a munter .....

I've never objected to it, doubt I ever will do.

You're a prude, aren't you?

If it stopped the little one from screaming at a key point in the service then why not??

The more breast-feeding in public the better IMO smile

The lass in the seat right next to me on the plane down to Heathrow last weekend started breastfeeding as soon as the brat started to squawk. Covered his head with one of those muslin sheet things to protect modesty. Maybe that's the way forward for all concerned.

I'd rather have the noise of contented sucking in my ear (phnarr phnarr) than the sound of a brat screaming on an aircraft.

I find if you take out your camera phone and start snapping photos, they soon move somewhere else.

It's normally always a munter thats breast feeding in public isn't it?

surely its better than having a screaming kid in the middle of the ceremony?

Nipples are for feeding babies, their sexuality is purely secondary.

Oh, here we go again.

Nothing wrong with it, but it is an intimate act, and a bit of modesty is appropriate.

Before all start telling me how natural it is, so is having a wk, and I doubt you'd want someone doing that during your wedding ceremony.

So long as the woman is reasonably discreet (e.g. through strategic use of scarf) about it, what's the problem?

This has been done before and tends to be one of those threads that polarises opinion, so I'll just put the popcorn on.

My own view is it's fine, but some effort should be made to move away from everyone's gaze - ie find a quiet spot to do it. Don't just get them out at the dinner table.

If its at a time when a quiet sprog is needed like at church then yes its only normal.
Clothes were invented after babies so they come first.
Modesty is a relativelty new word.

There's your answer. Next time you see someone start breast feeding, whip your keks down and lay a cable next to them. That'll show them.

I tend to find those who think it is inappropriate are mostly the socially inept. It's put forward as though the woman gets her tits out, swings them around a bit, tweaks her nips between finger and thumb while moaning a bit then rubs her groin before looking for any old kid to stick on there for a bit of sucking.

In reality, 99% of the time you'd have to be staring very, very closely to even see a bit of nip, and once latched on you'd pretty much have to get a crow bar out and use on the child to find anything to be offended about.

Perhaps rather than taking offence, you could learn to avert your gaze for the few milliseconds that a bit of flesh appears? Or just mature 20 years in the next few minutes...

wking, or taking a st, while natural, is a selfish act by the person concerned.
Breastfeeding a baby is caring for another.
If somebody had a heart attack, would you prefer the paramedics to drag the victim out of the building to preserve decorum?

Someone in front of you. Could of been the bride. Probably a no-no. It is was a mother and a child then ok perhaps they could've gone to the back to be a little more discreet. However some wimmion go out of their way to get em out at every oppertunity, almost challenging people to take offense.

Personally I can't bear religious wedding ceremonies (no matter how many sets of hooters are on show) so whenever any of my Little Piers would play up I would be the first one to offer to take them outside. Got out of several like that.

New 'equality' laws coming in make it an offence to ask a breastfeeding mother to move or go somewhere more private.
