Has anyone on here been stuck at Gatwick on a Sunday morning because Easyjet can not check people onto the flight in time due to the numbers of their flights leaving early morning? A couple of Sundays ago, we were queuing out of the door for 90 minutes before being pulled from the queue and checked in to meet their 40 minute take-off deadline.

All the desks were in use (full capacity to check everyone in) and it was calm chaos. The flights were subsequently delayed as slots were missed and lots of people didn’t get the stress free start to their holiday I expect they had planned.

Roll on one week and waiting in the airport for the return flights and all the Easyjet planes out to Portugal were running late.. The pilot apologised that this was due to check-in problems with “people queuing out of the doors”.

I am going to take this up with Easyjet but before I did, wondered if this is a common problem as I have always had good experiences with them in the past.

As someone that flies Easyjet a few times a month, though rarely out of Gatwick, check in online.

not sure I can check the kids in on-line - cant with BA - but the queue effected luggage drop-off as well.
