So, this bloke claims to be from PistonHeads.....

...and it's all very odd.
Yesterday, a chap turned up at a specialist car garage in Hertfordshire in a blue people carrier claiming to be from PistonHeads. He's around 30 years old, a little bit scruffy with a beard and glasses and is over 6ft tall (no, it wasn't me).
The odd thing is, his car contains a lot of electronic equipment, mobile phones and a large computer screen (we have no idea what this equipment does) and when asked he refused to give a card or his name.
He didn't do anything wrong as such, but if you see a chap like this who says he is from PH I can assure you that he isn't.
.......It's not you is it Ted?

Did he try and correct the dealer's spelling or use of grammar?
Perhaps he wished to ask a person interested in exotic cars what sort of diesel snot box he should buy if his wife will let him?
If either case is true, he most likely is from Pistonheads
ETA or throw a can of red bull, or remap his 335d, or whatever cheap pun is going on this week

Do you PH employees crumple to dust or melt Wicked Witch-style if you're forced to use a people carrier?
I seem to recall that the PH numberplate is actually on a people carrier (is that still the case, Paul?!) - an SMax?
Makes you wonder what the guy was trying to get out of the garage! Perhaps he just meant he was on PH as opposed to part of the team?

simple test for true PH validity, just start the converstation with, "So, the other day i was overtaking a 335d (mapped)...." and see if he falls on the floor laughing!! ;-)
The thing is not all of the members on PH find that funny. If somebody made that 'joke' or the Redbull one to my face I'd just turn around and walk off.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
