I know this is not motoring related but I just needed to put my plight into words.

Suspicious of why my Blackberry hasn't beeped, rang or done something all day I decided to check that It hadn't ran out of battery again. To my surprise I find that the radio connection to the network was turned off, no idea how this happened, possibly hit the button while it was in my pocket. I find three messages from work asking me to come in yesterday night and tonight. By the time I get in contact someone else had been called in.

Goodbye £500

I just needed to get this off my chest before I commit suicide. It was nice knowing you all!

I've worked out that I would only actually have been paid £471.50 and after the single-mothers, lazy bds on benefits and other "needy" people have taken their cut otherwise knowna as tax and NI then I would only have been left with £325.34.

Do I feel like I have lost any less? No!

Does it help at all that 325 is rougly the cost of my annual insurance which just came off my credit card today? No!

Am I happy that "needy" people are not benefiting from my hard earned cash which they don't work for so don't deserve? Somewhat.

£325.34?

You could have bought a phone that didn't switch itself off with that.

It probably hit of something in my pocket, deactivating the radio use takes no more than two taps on the front screen.

Smash your phone, then if you're still angry break a draw or cupboard.

Smashing the phone would make no sense. Then I would have just destroyed a phone, which work needs to contact me, which is still owe about £700 on the contract for.

OP put a lock on your phone, that way when it's in your pocket buttons don't get pressed unless your pocket can guess the pin code.

Take out the sim card, place it in another phone then apply pressure to the Blackberry in a sharp stabbing motion with a screw driver. If it survives keep it - if not, then it was an act of god and meant to be.

On second thoughts get some of that drain unblocking acid stuff and place the phone in a tub of it, then stand well back and see if the battery explodes.

Yes, that is exactly what I should have done. Im afraid my last 5 phones were flip phones so I'm not yet in the habit of doing that.
