How come he didn't shoot Luke at 27:54, when he said:

"Will you stop shooting people for saying things WRONG"?

The word is wrongLY. BANG!

And, like me, I bet you all felt a combination of smugness and shame.

Smug about being right all along, and shame over being the internet geeks we all know they were referencing.

The thing is, Mitchell is a bit of a pedant himself (as he would acknowledge) - so it would have carried an element of self parody too.

Dear M&W, can you do a "could of" one too? Ta. Oh, and "myself" and "yourself". Car salesmen and reps love that, they think it makes them sound posh for using a long word when "me" or "you" is correct.

I just read up on the whoever/whomever thing, and whomever seems to sound clumsy wherever it is used.

Slightly O/T, but can anyone tell me what is going on with the new series Mitchell & Webb;

I saw it advertised for Saturday night - checked the 'info' and it said 'Programme 1 of 6'. That'll be the new series then. Set it to record.

Watched it back last night only for the 'announcer' at the start to say somthing like "as a prelude to the new series, here's an old episode"
irked

I then discover that the new series actually started on Tuesday.
irked + irked

ETA - Just been on BBC i-Player - 2 episodes available, including ""Series 3 Episode 1 - Available since Saturday with 3 days left." irked x 3
