Finding someone who doesnt want to be found
Discussion
Hi All,
A friend has a client who is at her wits end. Copy and paste below.
He comes to DC, checks into the Hilton where he will stay while also
working. Ooops his credit card was stolen, could she do him a favor and put
down his for the hotels "hold". Tomorrow morning he will get his dad to give
the hotel his credit card to replace hers. 4 weeks of bliss ensue. He leaves
and she gets the bill form the cc: 30K, 6k of which for the Hilton, the rest
for various others flights, hotels what not...he charged everything on her
card, then left. Unknown residence, doesn't answer emails and so on.
Anyways, she wants to file a complaint against him. Personally I dont see what good that will do. This isnt really a law matter. What I want to know is if there is a way to use the net to track someone down?
He is in America and I have his cell (mobile) number and also a list of addresses in Germany. He is on facebook but it is locked down. I have used isearch and zabasearch but they havent given me much joy. He has a very unusual name so that's one thing.
So any more tips on finding a kraut in seppoland?
Cheers
Damo

So she finds him. Then what?
That's up to her. Maybe you're more forgiving than I...but I know if I was taken for 30k by someone, I would want to find them and have a nice little chat. OK. So she arranges for him to be 'careless' on some stairs and he ends up with two broken legs. How is that going to get her money back if he doesn't have any?
Edited to fix quotes.

What I was trying to say before is that I dont think it is about the money. She has realised that she is'nt going to see that again.
I have some more info on this clown and he is a conman. Set up quite a nice little back story too that involve his parents and fake job references. I doubt he will be found but might as well try.
I have a copy of a drivers licence from Germany and he looks like a real clean cut kid. Only 26 years old.

Are you having a laugh?Find a dictionary.
Step 2
Look up the word "fraud".
Step 3
Phone the police, you simpleton.

No problem. Surely the 5-0 would have something to say about this, fraud or something like that surely? Cheers
Or is it a case of take a baseball bat to his dome?

Do you want me to copy and paste what the lawyer sent me? No names are mentioned.

Unless you're someone who's inclined to contact undertakers when they see an RTA, of course

Fair enough, apologies for calling you a simpleton.
Please pass on my withering sarcasm and insults to the halfwit you're helping
Steady up there FG, I know goat boy and I think you got it right the first time.;)Please pass on my withering sarcasm and insults to the halfwit you're helping

In the meantime just to uphold proper PH advice style I do hope he is at least getting a decent BJ for helping a dim witted damsel in distress

Used to date the lawyer, suthol.
I hope you take the word 'date' literally. Doesn't mean I shouldn't help a mate though. Let me know if you want me to send you this tards picture. It could be one of your sons from your band days.
After I crack this case, Boosty has some Asian guy who ripped him off from the states on some Honda parts. I won't be accepting the same type of payment from him though!
Graham, no offense intended and I'll happily pass it on along with my own. :-) It is amazing that anyone can be this stupid in this day and age but the same could happen when a marriage goes pear shaped without a pre-nup I guess.
The reason I am helping this yank bird out is because I too have suffered at the hands of a conwoman. The most stupid thing I have done involved leaving a hotel room after a catch up with a client first to go out drinking with the boys. The next morning she had ordered a meal and charged it to the room. To say I was outraged was an understatement.
The only way our stories differ is a matter of about $29,980. But who's counting...
