With Labour licking their wounds and concentrating on selecting a new leader how long before they become a realistic threat to the Conservative/Liberal Democrat coalition?

Of course they'll always have their die hard supporters and once public spending cuts start to bite and a few of the freeloaders lose their jobs they'll gain some support but how long before the man on the Clapham omnibus starts to tarry with the idea of putting a cross in their box?

Next election. People are not going to like the inevitable cuts about to be made. All parties would have done it. Only way is if Lib Dems take the brunt of the bad publicity. But im hoping not, possibly the only person on here hoping that way.

You really think those freeloaders voted conservative or lib dem? They would have to have been terminally stupid not to already be labour voters if they wanted to keep their jobs.

I know a few, not stupid, who took jobs with local authorities because of the free ride it offers. They knew it wouldn't last for ever and I (grudgingly) admire them for seeing it for what it is. Good terms and conditions, nigh on impossible to get fired and they work nowhere near as hard as they'll have to in the real world.

So yes, I do think/know some of them voted Conservative or Lib Dem.
