... Smell your own fart? I can pump a standard issue stinker out, and nearby victims will gag. But I will not smell a thing! Of course if I have been eating broccoli or something equally nasty enough to significantly change the bouquet then I will also be acutely aware of the particles of faeces I'm inhaling. And I have made myself vomit on one occasion, but that's another story.

However if somebody else drops one, it bloody gets right up my nose. They are disgusting.

I can sometimes smell my own as such, i just dont think they smell as bad as people make out, unless i've had a spicy indian the night before, in which case they usually do take paint off walls...

I mean. I can smell them, but they don't make me gag.

That is very true! You can go around with a mouth like a maths teacher and everyone is too polite to tell you your face stinks but nobody will want to be anywhere near you. Give you a complex that would.
