Anyone else have an irrational fear of dummies?
Discussion
As per thread title. They creep me out big stylee. Especially if they are used in museums, especially dingy, war themed ones.
For example, there is an old PoW camp in Yorkshire that has been converted into a war museum, loads of dummies in distressing situations, such as being blown up, down a mine etc. All dark, all closed in, all rather unpleasant to someone who has this phobia. I'm sure one of the dummies moved.
Many museums and attractions in my opinion have been spoiled by the prescence of dummies, the tank museum, this place in yorkshire, beaulieu has a couple, as does haynes for that matter, SS Great Britain has dummies, by all accounts they move... Why Why bloody Why do curators insist on putting dummies in their attractions?!?
N.b. I don't think I would do well at Madame Tussauds...
To cap it off i got the bloody emoticon thing wrong! Should be the rollee eye one rather than the heart...
