I'll explain from the begining.

A few days ago I told the missus that I wanted to go out yesterday night to see a few friends play jam sessions in a couple of the locals in town. She said she'd come and get a sitter for the kids.

Fast forward to last night and ready to go she tells me her sisters coming, great, no worries. We heads off into town, I grab a bite to eat beforehand and she asks me to phone a friend to find out where he is so we can meet up. He's in one of the 2 pubs that have the bands on so I go straight there. When we pull up she tells me that her friends are up the other pub (first I heard of that). Her sis then says "its already we'll go there for a drink and head down after 5mins". With me thinking she meant just them so I stop there to drop them off, she proptly chucks my food and phone on my dash and gets out with her sis. I figure she pissed off at me so I figure I'll go down the other pub (5mins walk away) and let her cooldown.

2 hours later I'm still with my friends and she's still not there. I tell them I'm going up to the other pub to see my g/f, they decide to come with me. I walk into the pub and to the bar while looking around for her. I figure she would have txt me if she had left earlier. A friend of mine (a girl) comes up to me, gives me a hug and tells me where my g/f is. I see her and wave but she blanks me. I try to talk to her but apparently I want to spend all my time with my friends (I spent the last 2 weeks with just her). fast forward another hour and I see her walking out of the pub, she says she has to go as her sitter needs to leave. I dump my coke and come with her but she wamts to walk home on her own. I say I'll get the car so when I drop her back we can talk but shes not interested. Cue me running up the road trying to talk sense to her and her refusing to listen. In the end she tells me to sod off and I thinks it best not to keep on at her, so I do as she says. On the way back down, thinking about getting the car and following her home just to make sure shea ok, but dismiss it as being too stalkerish and is liable to piss her off more. My friend then calls me, I explain whats happened and he persuades me back to the pub I just left to talk about it. I see her sis there and she appologises as shes feels its her fault and tells me to leave it till today. I then head home with my friends to chat about it as I didnt want to stay in the pub anymore. When I get home I realise I have a message from the missus saying that I should have walked her home and if it was her she would have followed me in the car. But before I can finish reading it I get a call from her. Cue a blazing arguement for over an hour on the phone, me begging her to talk about his tomorrow and her telling its over.

Today got a message from her saying that all my stuffs packed ready to be picked up.

Tell me, where have I gone wrong? I think I've been more than patient with her. I just feel shes looking for excuses to break up with me.

I predict someone will mention a 6 letter word beginning with a capital 'M' and preceeded by 'The' before the end of the page.

How old is she? How old are you?

How long has she been 'your missis'?

Depending on your answers:

She needs to grow up, you need to move on
You need to move on, you are too young to be dealing with menstrual strops
Nothing lasts forever, move on.

Next time, get a taxi and get lashed and then hit on her sister.

I once went through crap like that. There's no point. Literally, no point. The mental, being a tt, call it what you want but essentially it's being unreasonable for no reason. You don't need it in your life.

Go and pick your stuff up and as you walk out the door feel the sense of relief as you phone up your mates to go and play another jam session somewhere.

You should have moved HER in with YOU.
That way you wouldn't have to pack / unpack anything.

If it makes you feel any better, girls rarely do anything like this on the spur of the moment. She'll have been looking for an excuse to kick you out for months.

I honestly have no idea why men put up with this kind of sh*t from women?

Are we:
a) deluded into thinking that all women are "the mental" (said, giggling, like the saddo who reposts it for the 40th time in the same thread), and thus we're destined to end up with one who treats us like a piece of sh*t?
b) consigning ourselves to the reality that men are simply here to deal with women's 'moods'?
c) so desperate that we will put up being treated like cr*p by women, just because they occasionally let us have a go on their funbags (when we're not in the 'doghouse')?
d) happy to be treated like a doormat?

Which is it? I'm baffled as to why anyone would stick around with the kind of woman who would throw a 'strop' over something so petty.

Er, kids involved, so not so easy. And expensive.

The sister idea's a winner, though.

Whose kids are they?
If they aren't yours, and you don't have a great attachment to them.

Get the f**k out of there while you still can!
She sounds like a man-trap

She can't have been that great of a catch anyway, otherwise the kiddies dad would still be ploughing her. Sounds to me like he saw the light, much like you should be doing now too!

I didn't read the op post as it was far too long (short attention span) and no swearing. Poor show.

I did however read the replies - like just getting the punchlines of a joke - so I'm in the loop.

Run whilst you have the chance; she sounds like a bloody liability.

Good communication is the key to a decent relationship. If either party is unable or unwilling to participate in that they you're going to get in that situation again and again and again.

For what it's worth, it doesn't sound like it was you in the wrong. Hell, you were even the designated driver!
