Just been and changed about £500 in Sainsburys to Euros before hols tomorrow.

Bought a small amount of shopping afterwards and whilst paying/packing bags got a work call on mobile and walked out of supermarket without envelope stuffed with cash - left on self service till.

Cue a frantic return 10 minutes later to find that a good samaritan had handed it in to customer service.

Thank you to whoever did this. Karma is due to return to you.

And yes, I am a complete numbskull.

I found a wallet today in the shopping centre, didn't count but it had a few bob in it, I took it straight to the information desk and handed it in, while in the queue there was a young lad in front of me handing in a rather expensive looking watch he'd found on the hand drier in the toilet smile

Glad you got your money back.

You should have tapped him on the shoulder and offered to buy it from him.

You were lucky mate. Fortunatly, i've never mislaid or lost anything valuable, once saw a guy drop £10 on his way out of the petrol station that i gave back, good to hear there are still some honest people about. If the rest of the nation is similar to me, think we all try to avoid those self service tills. Unexpected item in bagging area, 'fk OFF YOU SELF SERVICE bdS', anyways thats a rant for another day, have a good holiday...

You were very lucky.

I once left a £10 note in a cashline. Someone handed it into the bank.

BTW you should be thanking the person for this fortunate outcome. The credit is all theirs. No gods involved.

Depends on his haggling technique and amount of discount he's after

As I cycled home from my nightshift one Saturday morning I found a purse. The purse contained money, driving licence (address was many miles away) and bank cards. As it happened my neighbour worked for the same bank as was on the cards so I gave the purse to her so she could contact the owner. The owner of the purse got everything back without the hassle of reporting the cards lost etc.

I went to bed happy that I had done my good deed for the day.

Later that afternoon some silly cow in an astra drove into the back of my 328i Coupe and wrote it off! The car was the local dealers ex-demo, one of the last built with leather, OBC, genuine Alpina wheels etc.

So much for karma...
