Any PHers in Afghanistan?

I wondered if any other members here are currently in Afghanistan? It's entirely possible that some of the military personnel or civilian contractors out here are on the site. If so, it would be good to hear from you. Who knows, we may even be able to RV somewhere and talk about Toyota Corollas and Afghan driving habits or something.

Obviously can't replicate a PH night out at DD's - there's no way I can buy you a beer after all - but some in-theatre chat might be interesting.

Mods: This really isn't one for the Holidays and Travel section. Trust me on this.

My brother has a step son who spends some time out in that part of the world and when he's out there I hope he comes home safe, Same goes for anyone who is prepared to put on a uniform for our Country really.

I've got a couple of mates (1 from PH) that have been, and a PHer mates son; I know all of them in real life.

One's a Surgeon & has done a few tours out there now, I don't worry about her as much as I did the others tho.

Did manage to get great updates from her, and sent 'sweetie' parcels - we had great fun suggesting that we put Vodka etc in shampoo bottles.
