When I was a child, I remember a picture that my parents had hung on their wall. It depicted what I think was a Knight and a lady (possibly a Princess?) stood in a forest. Ahead of them was a dragon / giant lizard with a loooong tail that wound its way between the trees and off into the distance.

It was primarily coloured in browns, yellows and black. Made in the late 60's / early 70's.

Anyway, I want one but none of us know what it's called.

So, PH detectives.. I pass the challenge onto your broad shoulders.

Google has not been my friend this morning..

ISTR that Arthur Rackham was very popular for posters and prints in the 70s?

Sounds like his style.

Thanks Le TVR, just had a look at Arthur Rackhams work. It's a no go, sorry.

This picture had more defined egdes to things, less shading too. The colours were much bolder.

Mum also thinks there was a 'blue based' picture in the set too.

Have a look through some family pics - it might be in the background on some Christmas present opening ones, etc.!

I thought this was the picture everyone was legally required to hang on their walls in the late 60's/early 70's

I don't think the picture I'm after was anywhere near as 'main stream' as that beauty.
