Sorry, dumb question..

I'm short of a PSU (for a IP phone as it happens but that's irrelevant really).

Phone says 24v 160mA minimum power supply.

Maplins have a 24v 1.5A supply I can go and pick-up now.

Just wanted to check that it wont fry the phone, my (limited) understanding is that the Amp rating of the PSU is the maximum load, and the fact the phone will be drawing it a lower capacity wont make any difference.

Thanks.

Correct, should have no issue....1.5A is the max load the Maplin PSU will be able to deliver. 24v is what it will deliver.

Double check the polarity too or you could still fry the phone.
