So, new family have moved into the housing association house at the end of the road. They have 4 kids, you know the type, grubby looking with a constant dribble of snot from nose to chin.
Anyway, last night they decided to go down the road (read very steep hill) on their scooters and skateboards. No problem at 6 o'clock. By the time it had got to 10.30 and they hadn't even had a 5 minute rest, I was thouroughly pissed off. But SWMBO told me not to make a fuss so I let it slide.

This morning I went into town and on my way back I saw they were at it again. No problem, I thought, they'll be in for lunch soon.

No, they have been constantly running up the hill then going down it on their toys whilst screaming and shouting constantly. (Their names, for those interested in making a social stereotype, are Dean, Chelsea, Wayne and Tarquin. Did I say Tarquin? I meant Tyler.)

Anyway, they were annoying the hell out of me until 10 minutes ago I heard the unmistakeable sound of skin being abrasively reduced in thickness by asphalt, quickly followed by a thump and crying.

I got up and opened my front door to be confronted by Wayne crying because he had lost control of his scooter on run number 2416897 and had stopped using the friction caused by his knees being ground away. I checked that my car had not been damaged, closed the door and went and sat back down next to my wife, told her that the car is ok and went for a high five to celebrate the fact that the noise had stopped.

1. She left me hanging.
2. She told me I should have checked on Wayne to make sure that he was ok.
3. She told me that I am a bad person.

1. only my pride was hurt.
2. He was crying and therefore breathing which was good enough for me.
3. Am I really?

Had Wayne rung your bell?

Or do you in live one of those quaint 'poor people's houses' where the front door opens straight onto the street?

And anyway, how do you know all their names? Been watching them all? Writing down their names and what they're wearing?

Pervert.

1. No
2. No, I have a front garden.
3. Because they have been shouting at each other all yesterday evening and most of this morning. Chelsea (stereotypical fat council house child) is the ringleader and is constantly shouting the other kid's names.

not at all beer

in similar circumstances I think I'd have to be holding back SWMBO from attempting to stop their antisocial behaviour much sooner. For your patience and restraint clap

It will still take them a long time to investigate, and if true, kick them out. You will then get the same family coming back to deal drugs to the other HA tenants in your area.... And be disruptive.

Some years ago, I saved all my money, went without holidays and other luxuries and bought a house where i have no neighbours. I can't see or hear them, I can't see the road and i can't see little sts playing in the road (I have 5 of my own wink ) and I have a sit kn lawn mower to play with at weekends.

Now my house isn't a multiple million pound pad, to be fair, not a middle of the road town house either, but for the life of me i cant understand why people want neighbours confused

You did the right thing, hope the little scumbag really hurt himself.

I'll give you high five....... clap

Update:

2 of them are back already. One has a squeaky wheel.

Would I be an accessory to murder if I was to offer to oil the wheel to stop it squeaking? When I say oil the wheel, I mean the whole wheel including the brake surface, not a paedophilic euphemism.
