BBC News said:
US air steward in shock plane exit after passenger row

US police have arrested a flight attendant after he had a row with a passenger on a plane and fled using the emergency exit slide.
..
When a passenger stood up and opened the overhead locker, Mr Slater went to stop him but the bag struck him in the face.

He then demanded an apology but the passenger cursed at him instead.

Becoming irate, Mr Slater then used the loudspeaker to tell him off, before grabbing a beer from the galley and activating the slide.

After making his dramatic exit, he then walked to his car and drove away.

On our flight recently we had an air steward who looked more like a gorilla (DUE TO HIS BUILD & NOTHING MORE);) ...
I mean this guy was a monster & would have been more at home cage fighting!
We kinda thought that perhaps he was "under cover" & that maybe our flight had somebody "dodgy" on board. biggrin

Funny story, but in typical US overreacting manner, he was arrested for doing it.

FFS.

Dont they realise he'll enjoy prison? wink

Would have been better had the plane had been airborne at the time.

Certainly a job I couldn't do - I would have punched most of the public in the face by the time we'd reached cruising altitude.

Travelled back from the U.S with Swiss at the weekend.
Female stewards = lovely
Male stewards = not a threat to the female stewards, at all!
