As per the title really....

when you renew your passport do you get your old one back?

G'ment website says so but doesn't say if it gets sent out with the new one or sent seperately?

Got my new one this morning but no sign of old one.....

Yes, you get it back, with the corner lopped off. It usually comes back before the new one, but I wouldn't be too worried yet.

Yup, as said, you get it back with the corner chopped off.

My old one came in the same pack as the new replacement however..

If your passport is slightly damaged then you may not get it back; my wife was very upset that they pulped her passport with all her stamps, they claimed that it had got wet once (which it had).

Ah.

That may explain something then. Mine was slightly dog-earred! Infact you couldn't tell which side was the front and which the back - all the gold lettering had rubbed off.

I might not be getting it back then?
